Ladies of Lambeth piloted in August 2019 offering a week of hip hop dance workshops led by legendary Bgirl Sunanda ‘Bgirl SunSun’ Biswas. The project, funded by Relx, provided a week of activity during the summer holidays, outside of the confines of mainstream education, for secondary school aged young women living in the London borough of Lambeth.

The programme engaged participants in daily workshops which improve fitness, coordination, and focus in a fun and safe environment encouraging team work and determination. Following the workshops, the participants were provided a healthy lunch helping take the pressure off low income families that would usually rely on pupil premium during term time.
